This is a quote from the article: “Red light therapy is characterized by infrared light, which is a unique type of light that has a stronger wavelength then other types of light. This enables it to penetrate deeper into the skin and provide many therapeutic benefits including improvement in the skin’s appearance and structure as well as relief from pain.”
I just want to clarify that red light therapy is not characterized by infrared light. It is characterized by visible red light.
Further, the infrared wavelength is not, “stronger”, it’s longer, which is why it penetrates deeper.
Red and infrared light therapy have the same healing and rejuvenating effects on the body, but infrared light penetrates deeper than red. Infrared is better for pain relief. Red is better for rejuvenation of the skin – anti aging and the like.
I just couldn’t let that sentence pass by this time.
